They wouldn’t show the characters in the opening if they weren’t.ĭamn Bones, used to love you fam. The quality for each season since season 4 is stedily decreasing.Bones needs to do something to keep us engaged and have faith in their adaptation imo. They're doing the MVA part. You’re right to think this, but I’m sure there is a higher power that is trying to throw their pacing off with a bunch of movies. The quality for each season since season 4 is stedily decreasing.Bones needs to do something to keep us engaged and have faith in their adaptation imo. It's tragic honestly, Bones isn't like this, they can do better.Ī Rant is okay in my book as long as the criticism is directed towards a quality of the show and this disappointment is expressed by many.īut yeah the disappointment is directed towards how Bones are handling the anime adaptation and how much they are prioritising filler with the movies(Not gonna lie the movies have looked good honestly)but being uncannon feels more of a neat distraction than anything else.īones is still an amazing studio and all but this decision has damaged their reputation albeit not too severely.Įndeavour arc is just spelling red flags for what happened in MVA and its not a good sign.I wish they would announce whether MVA is even Happening this season or not because fans are getting more and more impatient and angry.I remember in the manga that this part of the story was the weakest(class 1a vs 1B thing especially)so.yeah.(I haven't read it but im going off public opinion at that time. ![]() I also think that they're avoiding MVA so badly because it may scare off their 'innocent' fans, who are used to the constant lighthearted theme of the series, and are afraid people I would call 'basic normies' will drop the show because "OmG wHeRe tOdOrOkI aNd BaKuGo" or/and "AaHh ViLlaInS sCaRy ToO mUcH bLoOd". They're prioritizing the mainstream lowest common denominator over the passion and artistry of the people who care about the plot and quality of the anime. Bones is an amazing studio, they've done an incredible job on numerous anime that people around the world love. Not to mention that there's no guarantee that they won't add more filler or stretch the EA arc even more. So we've got a maximum of 7 episodes for MVA, and even though that could be enough to at least properly adapt it, but it could've just been so much better. I know I'm overreacting, it's just a show not reaching its full potential and not doing justice to its source material, but come on, it's like they're TRYING to dissapoint fans. And today, after the unnecesarily slow episode finished, I watched the preview and after finishing it, I let out the BIGGEST, FATTEST sigh. After the filler episode, I was like "Ok, if the next episode isn't the last episode of the EA arc, I'm officially giving up.". The arc switch was pretty much done in favor of the movie and it's sad that they prioritize the cashgrab movie over the actual anime adaptation. Couldn't have they put that snippet at the end of any other non-anime original episode? Talking about the movie, it seems to take a good chunk of the credit for why this season really dissapoints. Like, did they really need to make an entire filler episode. ![]() Apparently, it was made as promotion for the upcoming movie, but am I blind or something? I genuinely do not remember any movie promotion in the filler episode, other than the small snippet at the end. I'm not saying the episode was all that bad, but goddamn was it so extra and unnecessary. I still had a little shred of hope, and then they hit me with "FILLER EPISODE NEXT WEEK, BITCHES!!!". Not to mention a little bit of damage to the suspense of MVA with reveals that were shown, gah. ![]() EA arc started, I was ok with it, but it again started getting stretched over far longer than necessary. I was like "Ok, they will probably not mess it up, they're Bones, they know what they're doing.". ![]() I started being nervous, but I knew that it was already confirmed and was still rather optimistic. Then I heard about the EA and MVA arc switch. Although it was stretching the arc more than needed, it had enough good episodes to distract me (ep 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 especially). And it started out alright, I really loved the animation, soundtrack and overall vibe that they pulled off in episodes 4-10. At first I was like ight, cool, we're properly adapting the JT arc, nice. At first I was positive, but now I realise how blinded I was by my internal fanboy because of how much I adored the previous seasons. But you're just so fucking dissapointing with this season.
